there are 388 images on this site and almost none of them are mine. some are thirty years old. some are by people who are working right now. this page is my best attempt at saying where they came from.

i have tried to trace everything here. a lot of it i cannot. the old web reposted things endlessly and the trail is gone — the filenames are tumblr hashes and gifs that have been passed around since 1997.
if you made something on this site: tell me and i will credit you properly, or take it down, whichever you want. no argument, no hassle. you know where the chat box is.
if you recognise something and know who made it, i would genuinely love to know. that is half of what this page is for.
